Anne Skordis is currently a Senior Executive within Australia’s National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) with responsibility for market oversight and strategies to respond to thin or complex market circumstances associated with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Anne has recently also spent 5 years as a provider of support for people with disability under the NDIS committed to aligning service delivery to achieve best outcomes for participants.
Anne had been heavily involved in various roles within government in the initial design and early implementation of the NDIS after a long history working within government related to disability and aged care policy, regional operations, service delivery and intergovernmental relations.
Anne has been active in IIDL since 2016 when the exchange was hosted in Australia and has been involved in the Board of GLE since 2018 when she was the first Board member representing IIDL and disability specific issues.
Anne originally studied social work and her early career was in income support programs, energy concessions and support programs for low-income households and customer policy related to gas and electricity providers. Anne has over the years been active as a Board member of school committees; a local rural health service, and a provider of community and residential Aged Care.
