In this latest Podcast, on the theme of ‘Ideas to action – inspiring leaders to mobilize collective solutions’, GLE’s England Lead Peter Molyneux speaks with Keri Opai on creating Te Reo Hāpai.
Words have the power to explain, express and define how we understand and experience the world. Keri says, too often language surrounding mental health, addiction and disability is negative, deficit based and stigmatising. The project, Te Reo Hāpai, brings people with lived experience together, with input from clinicians and practitioners, to create words that recognise humanity and promote hope and dignity.
Keri explains the principles and processes behind his work. To find out more about Te Reo Hāpai please follow this link: www.tereohapai.nz.
