Working to advance digital mental health across the WHO European Region

Representatives from GLE were delighted to participate in the ongoing development of World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) Digital Mental Health Roadmap for the European Region (15 July 2025).

The webinar provided the platform and opportunity to engage, share insights, provide feedback and experience with fellow NGOs, policymakers, mental health experts and clinicians on digital mental health across the WHO European Region.

GLE’s President and CEO, Steve Appleton affirmed the organization’s commitment to this important initiative, saying: “GLE is pleased to be part of the conversation and contribute to the development of the Digital Mental Health Roadmap and the overall strategic direction and principles behind it. We will continue to support the work and look forward to the next stage of the consultation.”

WHO’s Mental Health sub-group and partners are working to ensure the roadmap reflects diverse experiences and priorities across the region. The roadmap is due to be finalized in collaboration with the Health Executive Service and Department of Health of Ireland by the end of the year.

We will share the roadmap as soon as it is finalized.
